COASTLINE STUDIOS REFLECTIONS

This is our first “Official” trailer for the 2010 season and we are so excited to show it today. Kellie and Jason were a dream to work with and gave us so many amazing things to shoot and told some great stories throughout the day.

This wedding had so many great details from the custom designed programs, invitations and dinner menu’s (all designed by the the bride, Kellie) as well as some out of this world floral designs by Jenn at Modern Day Floral.  Of course I can’t leave out Kellie’s fantastic dress from Bridal Elegance and the fantastic reception venue at Cascade Hills Country Club who also made the wedding cake.

Today I am pleased to share with you Chad and Dee’s wedding trailer.  This fantastic couple was full of smiles and were so fun to work with.  Add to that the pleasure of shooting along side Kelly Braman and her 2nd shooter for the day Kerri Banyas and you have the recipe for a fun day of shooting. “In sickness and in health” has never meant so much as it did for this couple.

Mike and Ashely’s wedding was originally scheduled for July 2009, but when Mike received word that he had cancer in April 2009, the wedding was postponed until December in hopes that it would go into remission.  I’ll leave the video to tell what happened to Mike, but no matter what the outcome it was clear that Mike and Ashley’s wedding vows would take on a whole new meaning when they expressed them on their wedding day.  It’s so easy to gloss over wedding vows and not think about the depth and importance behind all the words spoken.  I mean, people mess them up all the time and have a hard enough time saying them them let alone thinking about life long meaning behind them… which is why I think this wedding was so different and special.  I’m not saying people don’t mean what they say or think about their vows when saying them, but there is something deeper that takes place when saying “in sickness and in health” after going through what Mike and Ashley went through.

Needless to say, I’ve been blessed to have been a part of this happy day for Mike and Ashley.  They are some of the greatest people you’ll ever meet and their inspirational story has touched so many.  They have taken upon themselves a challenge to raise $60,000 to find a cure for blood cancer and if you should feel let to donate to this worthy cause you can find out more by clicking here.
